Travelling fly fishers resource coming soon!

A very useful tool, as I travel the US, has been the state fish and wildlife website for the area where I am planning to fish.  I am compiling a list of the links to all the state departments, and hope to post that soon in my resource section.  Watch for it on facebook and twitter.   keep the rod bent.....flyiguana

  1. Just back from MO trout opening at Bennett Spring. We fished pretty hard, but few people were able to catch fish because of the high, muddy and fast water. A lot of people were really frustrated and irritable (not really fun to talk with). I felt bad that the fishing conditions cost all of the businesses a lot of needed money. I think the stocked fish were flushed into the Niangua river and fishing there will probably be good there when the water returns to normal.

  2. Dale Johnson and I fished Rock Bridge Rainbow Trout Ranch Saturday and Sunday (February 26 & 27). Caught lots of fish over 3 pounds including one that weighed 4.6 and another 5.9 pounds. That place will certainly spoil you and cost your SS check. Love it and they treat you great.

  3. My grandson and I are off to Montauk and Meremac in a couple of weeks- the only Missouri trout parks we haven't fished yet. Any tips?
