Thinkin...

I'm not fishing this week, but, boy, I wish I was. I am going to be tying up some small (26) midges for an upcoming trip to Colorado. Near Denver is Cheesman Canyon, where the South Platte River meanders through one of the most beautiful canyons in the southwest. I've been there twice, and zeroed both times - the fish are wary, large, and fussy. The water is gin clear, but there are lots of riffles and pools...I'll keep returning there until I score. Nearby in Deckers, CO is the 'Flies and Lies' shop, great place to stop in and get gear, and the guys are helpful, too. I'm looking forward to going back there. Keep your rod bent....
