I'm in the beginning stages of an ebook called 'Fly Fishing America'. I have been journalling my fly fishing experiences across the US for the last ten years, and I am using those stories as the foundation of my book. I'll talk about the places, the fish, the people, the flies and so on, and I think you'll enjoy.
Keep an eye out for updates here and on twitter! @FlyIguana

Fly Fishing the Fall in Mass
Doing some work near Boston, so I slipped up to a favorite place of mine, the Nissitissit River in northern Mass. There's a great little fly shop in Pepperell, called the Evening Sun Fly Shop, run by a great guy named Charlie. Stop in if you are ever there...if he's not fishing, he'll help you out. Small stream fever...
I love small streams, and I love small streams in Pennsylvania. This week, I had the fortune to be in Philly, so I took an extra day to fish in the Lehigh Vally, around Allentown. The Little Lehigh Creek flows across farms, meadows, parks and yards to merge with the Lehigh River. It is stocked in some areas, and has two special 'fly-fishing only' areas as well. You might want to visit the Heritage Fly Shop off Fish Hatchery Rd, in a stream house run by a very nice guy, Ron. Some wild, some stocked, a dream to fish.

Go-To Fly
The more I fish for trout, and in more places, the more I am convinced that what I read is true...there are midges everywhere. It seems that I can always catch a trout on a zebra midge, red or black, wherever I go. It amazes me that big trout eat such a little creature, but they do. Easy to tie, easy to fish, the go-to fly.
fish more, take a kid, enjoy nature.
